Jim owns a Franchise Consultancy and already enjoys 30-hour weeks and very little required travel. He was living a good life, but deep down inside, he wanted to escape to adventure in his RV.
Although his work hours didn’t take a toll on his energy, the urgency of the work made it intense. The fact that several business processes directly involved him where when a new lead came in, he’d have to hop on it right away to close the deal made it stressful and unpredictable.
In the lulls of the day, he secretly daydreamed of hopping into his RV and taking a full week or two off to travel. The problem is, he knew that the cost of losing out on these leads for his business was too high, so he couldn’t get himself to take the risk as it would affect his business revenue.
After learning the Half-Retire System, Jim realized that his business model wasn’t serving his desired lifestyle. In reality, he was chained to his desk, waiting for the next phone call or email to keep his business running.
It was time for a change, and he was ready to take action and make that shift in his business. Jim switched from high-ticket deals to a membership model, which instantly removed the need for urgent actions on his part while allowing him to also outsource and automate his communications. This allowed Jim to step away from his business for large chunks of his week and go on an RV trip.
By creating a membership community, he also leveraged his time by sharing his knowledge with multiple clients at a time rather than just one. This gave him a much more flexible schedule and a better work-life balance. In fact, Jim couldn’t have said it better himself:
“I’m 74 and recently married. I know I’d have to cut back my work time radically to treat my retired wife fairly. I tried many times to reduce my workload to no avail. I tried the Half-Retire method out of desperation, and I’m glad I did. I’m enjoying RV’ing several weeks a month while keeping my income. I couldn’t be happier.”
